A mini getaway

One of mommy's good friend is on a business trip in San Diego this week. After dropping Z off with her daddy, I got to enjoy a few days in the sunny SD! The locals told us that it had been raining and gloomy for a while so I guess we got lucky with the weather!

cholcolate ice cream treat....we only finished half cuz it was sooo sweet

The next morning we woke up to bikram yoga. It was the first time for mommy's friend, but she completed the class and did so well!

After yoga we went to the farmer's market at nearby elementary school.

Lots of peeps at the market....it was so much bigger than I thought! I wanted to buy everything!

Cookie vendor

Interesting combo...we later tried this one and it tasted more like a bread than cookie. Not a bad flavor, but it might not hit the spot if you're craving a sweet treat.

My lunch-yummy health juice with shrimp taco (& half of a swiss egg sandwich + countless samples) oh and cookies

We spent the afternoon strolling thru many cute shops in La Jolla...this is a cupcake store

So stuffed with cookies, we only got a little one to share (later.)

Z would've loved this place! I could totally see her running around enjoying herself on this open grass field

Our red velvet mini cupcake enjoyed the view

Beautiful La Jolla beach

These guys are alot skinnier than the ones in Golden Gate park...

Seal mommies and babies sunning themselves on the beach...the water was so clear we could also see them swimming in the nearby water...adorable!

Omakase dinner @ sushi Ota
Last time we came to sushi Ota w/o a reservation so we didn't get to sit at the bar. This time I knew better to make a reservation and we got 1 hour to eat...which was plenty of time since we left an hour later with $150 missing from our purses and very full! We were served by Ota san-yep, the owner himself. The food was delish and Ota san was a sweetie. Definitely will come back again...when I have more money!!

The historical carrosel at seaside village.
It was kinda dead when we got there after the sushi dinner. The view was beautiful though, and the shops were totally random we had alot of fun browsing!

Yummy shrimp and fish tacos @ the original Rubio's. I usually don't like corn tortilla because I think of it as dry and hard, but I love Rubio's! It was so tender and flavorful that I ordered one for the road!
