It's been raining and cold for the past two weeks, and we haven't been able to go out alot. This morning when I woke up there was sunlight coming thru the window. The ground was still wet but there was a break in the weather. I thought to myself that it was the perfect opportunity to take Z out for some fresh air. So I loaded her on to our new bike and headed towards the newly opened Panera Bread near our house.
Grandpa's love...all the way from Taiwan!
Ready to ride into the sunset...
Z loved the bike ride. On the way there we past a park, and she was busy wooing and aahing and pointing out all the babies, doggies and birds. It was probably a five minute bike ride to the restaurant. I was really glad someone decided to open a Panera Bread there since there's no good lunch place within walking distance of our house. Z and I started walking to the Target when it was open back in October, but when it comes to food choice, Target is pretty limited. Anywaz when we got there I could already see a huge line snaking inside the place. And I thought we were beating the lunch crowd by coming early. The line moved surprisingly fast and when we got near the counter Z started fussing because she was hungry and she saw all the bread and pastries on display. Haha she kept trying to run up to the counter and pointing at all the food. Who says toddlers who can't speak yet can't express themselves? I couldn't miss her point even if I tried. The nice lady working behind the counter helped us with our food and found us a table. We got situated (I brought along Z's dining mat, chair cover, bib-her standard dining equipments :0D) and had a nice lunch :0D
The place was packed. As usual, while she was eating and drinking, Z was smiling, winking, waving and talking to everyone who could see her. It's so fun to see her wanting to interact with other people. However, I think if they wanted to pick up her then that's another story. While we were there she was the entertainment for everyone. One table of elderly couple was so smitten with her (the old lady kept watching her and commenting on how cute she was,) they sat in their car and watched me buckling Z in and rode off on our bike before they pulled away.
