Thanksgiving trip to Germany: Day 6 Würzburg

This was CoCo's spot while we stayed with friends in Bavaria. A cushy place next to the furnice...not bad!

Getting everyone ready to brave the cold that was above us.

Ahh..nothing warmed the body and soul like coffee and cake (in this case apple cake!)

Mommy give me some!!

CoCo had to wait outside for this one. Actually we didn't even ask since there was only standing space inside...but hey she wasn't bored checking out the Wurzburg christmas markt!

Outside of the little cafe. We used to come here every time we shopped at the plaza. On weekends there was usually a fest and weekdays there was a farmer's market.
you can also order thru the little window. We opted to "dine-in" since it was cold and rainy that day.

A peek at the father and daughter.

We have to be responsible dog owners everywhere we go...also this was in the middle of the busiest street of downtown Wurzburg (with hundreds of people watching I'm sure..)

Wurzburg Christmas markt! So far we're at one markt/one day..just as I had hoped!

White gluhwein. Red is most common but this was pretty good. We like!

CoCo making some friends on a bridge.

Another view on the bridge.

Menu of a sausage stand.

The line was long but well worth it. It was delish!

After eating and drinking our way thru the markt, we decided to go for a stroll thru the palace garden. The Wurzburg palace was only a short walk from the downtown plaza.

Z and CoCo were all over the place here. Thanks to the rain early in the day, we were mostly alone.

The front entrance to the palance. We have been here a few times when we lived in Germany. It is really beautiful inside and the tour takes you thru alot of rooms. This time with Z we figured she probably loved the garden more than looking at the old paintings and furnitures.

Department store windows: it's playmobil!

Life sized playmobil people playing with actual playmobil...cool!

CoCo are you thinking what jewelry to pick up for mommy?? what a good doggie~

Christmas markt at night; a different view.

Back @ auntie's house. Poor Z missed her rice and veggies after eating german food for the past few days. The chefs were so nice to cook her veggies and tofu! Her little tummy was so big that night. The crispy duck was awesome too! Oh and daddy finally got his krystalweisen..so everyone was happy~
