Thanksgiving trip to Germany: Day 4 Heidelberg

Z woke up at 5 am this morning...while I was looking for breakfast I found this in the fridge. It's a tiny package of raw ground meat...eaten with bread :0P

Z eating breakfast while watching Sesames st.

Z kept playing house with the nativity scene....we are sorry baby Jesus!

Today we went to Heidelberg zoo

These foxes just sat there posing for cameras

CoCo checking out the monkeys

There was also a playground at the zoo... we had alot fun there

CoCo never gets to go to the zoo back home, so she was interested in every animal she saw..

One thing we really love about the zoos in Germany is how close we can get to the animals-see how Z and the Orangatan check each other out!

CoCo was having a great time there!

We stop by the coffee shop to warm up and rest our legs....

So cozy and so cute!

Other doggie visitors at the zoo

Even though it was Sunday and no shops were open there were alot of people on their way to Weihnachtmarkt

We picked a traditional german restaurant for dinner

Everything looked delicious!

Jaeger schnitzel with spatzle

Deer schnitzel

They were making a special gluhwein

Not really liking it...still prefer the traditional gluhwein

Heidelberg Weihnachtmarkt

Thanksgiving trip to Germany: Day 3 Darmstadt

Z was so happy to finally get over her jetlag!

Today we went shopping with two cuties...Z loved it!

She also had her first taste of fries @ Mickey D....of course she liked it! It was one of my favorite food during my pregnancy!

We had planned to go to Frankfurt zoo....but the rain took us to Loop 5, one of the newest indoor mall in Darmstadt

Z napping in her stroller....the stroller cover was such a great buy! It kept her cozy and warm thru out our trip

Starbucks' christmas specials....all looked so good. Guess which one I had?

The lebkuchen latte! Lebkuchen is like gingerbread cookies and so yummy

Z with fishies @ pet store. These fishies are so friendly they would follow her fingers around...

I don't think I've seen these before...so cute!

Hmmm...they are called Degu

We were in Darmstadt so of course we (or I) had to go to Darmstadt Weihnachtmarkt!

Gluhwein!

Z riding the train with her new nanny hehe~

Potato pancakes! with apple sauce....I love fest food!

Thanksgiving trip to Germany: Day 2 Aschaffenberg

After a night of much needed sleep, we woke up to a table full of traditional German breakfast. Yum! Christina's homemade jams and all kinds of spreads, cold cuts and cheese... and fresh brotchens! O brotchens how I took you for granted!

Z messing up the Steiff toy section @ Muller...hey you are throwing a $300 bunny on the floor!

One of best places to get schnitzel in Aschaffenberg.....not opened when we got there for lunch :0(

Inside Kaufhof in Aschaffenberg. That day we ran into a news crew and Z ended up on the news...here's the link: http://www.main.tv/video.php?video=4444 @ around 1:47 she made a brief appearance

I was really excited to visit Germany this time of the year because it's Weihnachtmarkt season! Christmas markets are only around for a month from the end of November to Christmas every year. I miss German fests and the markets are just so festive...totally puts me in the holiday mood! We (or I) made sure to hit up the Aschaffenberg Weihnachtmarkt while we were in town. Z loved all the lights too!

Thanksgiving trip to Germany: day 1 cont.

We're here! Christina's place is so nice~CoCo was drooling over the christmas cookies...

I was too! They were yummy...I missed them!

After fussing for 8 hours on our flight, Z just passed out during dinner

At night, CoCo's friend Carlos came over to visit. Look at how happy they were!

Finally!! Thanksgiving trip to Germany: day 1

Still happy 10 mins after takeoff.

It's been a month since we got back from our trip to Germany and nonstop getting ready for Christmas. This year Z's really into it (unlike last, when she was 3 months old, she really could care less.) She loves the lights and the trees and all the colors....and as her mommy I tried to do everything to make her happy!

passing a note to fellow baby traveler

My vegetarian meal; pretty good but salty

Z sleeping in her bassinet...only if this lasted longer...like 6 hours would be great! Thanks to some dude laughing hysterically at the Proposal (come on, it's not THAT funny!!) she woke up after one hour and the screaming began....

Flying over England and France

We're here!!
