Could this be the beginning of something?

Z loves to run around after her bath, and tonight was no different. While I was looking in her dresser for some pajamas and I heard a trickling sound, I knew she had peed. I turned around expecting to see her standing around the bathroom somewhere, but instead I saw her sitting on her little potty looking kinda confused. And when I walked up to her I could see there was peepee in her potty!

How exciting (I was anywaz!) Z was a little unsure about what she did and the huge reaction she got from me. Could this mean that she's ready to begin potty training and no more diapers (yay!!)? Or was it just a lucky accident?

Thankgiving trip to Germany: Day 8 München

Waking up in our hotel room in Munich...everyone seemed comfortable..

so where are we going today?

The view of the city outside of our balcony.

The BMW building.

Our lunch-I got the german menu and Z's daddy got the english version, and mine was about 10 pages more and had lunch specials. This was only 6 euros.

Saying hi to CoCo's nemesis at the pond @ Nymphenburg palace.

A cafe in the palace garden.

The cafe didn't look like much outside but the inside was beautifully decorated.

The other view inside.

my treat

CoCo: give me something to eat! you can do it!

With the palace in the background.

Again since we had Z and CoCo we decided not to tour the palace. Gotta save some things to see for our next trip!

A beautiful afternoon with family.

This swan just came up to check us out...and hissed (yes, like a cat) @ CoCo

Another view of the palace and the garden from the bridge.

Z made a friend. What kind of bike is this? It looks so cool!

The garden was really big. We spent the whole afternoon walking and only saw a small part of it.

For dinner we went back to downtown Munich.

Viktuelienmmarkt-Munich's famous farmers market. Z and daddy were checking out some organic cheese.

We were back to the christmas markt!

Z's daddy craved haxen, so we went to Haxenbauer.
We shared the half beef/half pork haxen plate with knödel while Z dozed off. It was a very enjoyable dinning experience.

This was what drew us in! Rows of haxens roasting...you could almost hear the crackling of the skin thru the glass window!

Thankgiving trip to Germany: Day 7 Burgbernheim, Nürnberg, München

All ready in her seat waiting for breakfast.

This was our backyard. Actually we lived in apartment and this was a two minute walk from our place. When Z's dad was away I used to come here with CoCo everyday....

We missed the open space. We felt like we could see very far..

Another view..

Z was all bundled up.

Our balcony!

Our place. We used to live on the second floor. That window is the bedroom.

Z and daddy happy to be back in the warm car.

Bye Bye Burgbernheim~hope to visit you again soon.

And bye bye to mommy's friends. Thank you for everything (literally!) Let's not wait this long to meet again!

We finished two comfortable days in auntie's house and were back on the road going south. Our first stop was Nuremberg (again.) That night at the christmas markt felt too short so we decided to visit again (also because someone wanted steak again.)

The postal wagon. Only a few euros for a ride around the blocks. The horses were so pretty and friendly.

A live nativity scene. All the animals were apparently famished since they all crowded around to get treats.

Fruit vendor on the street. What kind of grapes are the small ones in the middle??

The shop was thoughtful to provide sheepskins and blankets for outdoor seating (it was very necessary....cold~)

I love visiting toy shops in Germany. This one however left a very bad taste in my mouth. For years living in Germany I met alot of honest germans-not this shop owner! I realized that I've been taken as soon as I walked out the store, but with Z fussing I didn't go back. The rest of day I walked around just feeling so upset....:0(

Fried apple cake

Nuremberg christmas markt. It's gotta be one of the largest! Rows and rows of stall (and tons of people.)

One of the best places to get nuremberger sausages (mini sausages.)

Going to the fort. It was quite a climb with a stroller.

Bird's eye view of Nuremberg at dusk

Nuremberg at dusk. We loved these houses next to the river..

We said farewell to Nuremberg and drove down to Munich...

The christmas markt in front of the cathedral. Yes that's right, another christmas markt!

Munich's street performer. Was that a baby grand piano? (They sounded great.)

The cathedral @ Marienplatz.

Dinner time! We wanted to try someplace we never been (which is alot in Munich.) For reasons unknown we never came to this hot tourist (and locals alike) spot, so Hofbrauhaus it was!

The place was packed at 9pm...amazing since germans tend to eat early and close shop early. If I remember correctly they open til 11am.

Big bier barrel.

The ceiling was painted with bavarian flags.

Rows of steins. They belong to regular patrons.

We had the dark and light+cider beer. Of course they were so good. Here Z wanted to try some.

We orderd traditional german food, stuff that we missed: sauerkraut, spätzle, schnitzel.

Z having some garlic soup. Even though this was considered as a tourist spot, the food and drinks were fairly priced and tasted good. The beer mugs were liter-sized. There was even a traditional german band in lederhosen. Highly recommended just for the experience!
